Woven materials – First-class and traditional 

Foils from Gislaved have been used for weaving modern carpeting for decades. The choice of materials makes the carpets highly durable with unbeatable colour fastness able to withstand both moisture and dirt – and they are also easy to keep clean. They have a wide range of uses – offices, hotels, retail stores, public spaces and private homes. In addition to our standard range of woven strip, we work closely with customers to create the desired colours, effect foils and materials with various properties.

Customer-specific – Comfort and safety

The majority of our products in our Special range are developed on behalf of our customers. They are all about uniquely specified product characteristics with extremely high quality requirements. One example is foils used for ear defenders, where our material is used for ear cushions and headband. Here, a few of the important parameters are its kindness to the skin, being anti-allergenic, softness at different temperatures, resistance to cleaners and grease as well as being free from phthalates. Another example of specially developed products are foils that are used in medical devices. Inflatable support cushions and pressure relief mattresses are a few of the products that are used in healthcare. Behind each customer-specific product, there is solid groundwork by our R&D department. Experience, technical development, market demands and legislation set the limits and form the basis for the development work.

Aprons

Here at Gislaved Folie, we also manufacture CE-marked hygiene aprons. The aprons are antistatic, made in Sweden and meet the requirements for RoHS-Reach. The aprons are available to order in both long and short sleeves and are in dirt and water repellent made in a soft and flexible quality that keeps the user clean and fresh through the work session. The material is provided with weakenings in the neck which means that you can easily pull it off after the end of the work shift and thumb holes on the long-sleeved apron to make it easier for the arm not to fall open when you put on gloves.

Protego

The changing rooms belonging to the ice rinks around Sweden are subjected to harsh trials on a daily basis. A well-sharpened skate can easily perforate the floor structure and cause water to penetrate inside the carpet and consequently generate expensive renovation costs. With the PROTEGO mat from Gislaved Folie, you can easily and at a very reasonable cost eliminate these risks. The carpet is easy to handle and easy to apply yourself. The material in the PROTEGO carpet consists of 70% recycled material.
